World-renowned saxophonists Leo P and Grace Kelly will be performing with the Boardman High School Jazz Program groups at the BHS Jazz Fest on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 7:00 pm in the Boardman Performing Arts Center. Leo P took the music world by storm as he became famous for busking in the New York Subways with his "Brass House" band called Too Many Zooz. He is a former member of Lucky Chops. Known for his brilliant playing, energetic dancing, and unique fashion, he teamed up with equally energetic alto saxophonist Grace Kelly to form 2Saxy. Several videos of them performing while strolling and dancing up and down the Venice Beach Boardwalk have gone viral. Their educational videos are very popular with musicians of all ages.
Their appearance at the BHS Jazz Fest will feature some of the video game music they've performed regularly with the 8-Bit Big Band, some Too Many Zooz and 2Saxy tunes as well as unique treatments of traditional Boardman Jazz Ensemble fare.
